MCCOOK LAKE, S.D. -- It has been proposed that the Sioux City Council lobby the Legislature to prohibit marriage between homosexuals. I have never understood why people, especially Christians, would not prefer stable, monogamous, legally-binding relationships to the alternative of uncommitted extramarital sex.
