Interior's Accountability Report provides a comprehensive picture
of the Department's programmatic and financial performance. By integrating
result-oriented performance data with audited financial statements and the
auditor's report and opinion, the Accountability Report strives to better meet
the information needs of Congress, the administration, and the public.
For a third year in a row,
Interior received an unqualified opinion on its consolidated financial
statements. The clean opinion is a result of the teamwork and dedicated
efforts of many Interior employees, particularly the financial and audit
staff. We appreciate their dedication and professionalism in helping to report
on what we have accomplished for the American people.
