Return to Corporate History Home Page

1990 - 1998

Cincinnati Bell, Inc. had no changes during this period. Cincinnati Bell, Inc.is the holding company for operating company Cincinnati Bell Telephone, which has one study area jurisdiction comprised of Ohio and Kentucky.

In 1995, Cincinnati Bell, Inc. became an incentive plan carrier (the only one)and was required to file the 43-05 and 43-07 on an annual basis. This resulted in a 43-05 submission which was not loaded into ADRS, because the 43-05 report database structure was quarterly, prior to 1996. Cincinnati Bell, Inc. became an elective price carrier on July 1, 1997, and was no longer required to file the 43-07. Thus, 43-07 data for this carrier is available for years 1995through 1997, only.

1999

In 1999, Cincinnati Bell, Inc. ceased reporting ARMIS data for two existing study area jurisdictions under a single study area jurisdiction, CBTC. Thus,Cincinnati Bell ARMIS data for existing study areas Ohio (CBOH) and Kentucky(CBKY) is now reported separately for each study area. CBTC remains as the holding/operating company COSA. On 11/09/1999, CBTC and IXC Communications Inc .merged. The name of the holding company for these two merged companies was established as Broadwing, Inc., on 11/15/1999. With the new arrangement, CBTC retains its current operating company and holding company classifications under Broadwing, Inc.
