Corporate History
The links below lead to brief descriptions of historical corporate events,
such as mergers and acquisitions, which cause changes in ownership or corporate
level of ARMIS COSAs (Company Study Areas). Study area property, like any
other property, may be bought and sold. When the ownership of a study area
changes, the COSA label signifying the original property may be discontinued,
as when the property is sold to a company that does not file ARMIS reports.
Also, the COSA code may be replaced by a new code, as when two areas are
combined into a larger area. Further, a COSA code's reporting level may
change from, e.g., a combination operating-company-and-study area COSA
to a study-area COSA. Finally, the COSA code's holding company relationship
may change, even though the code remains unchanged.
