Hendrum Mobile Disaster Recovery Center Extends Operations

MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Mobile Disaster Recovery Center (MDRC) operating in Norman County has extended its operations through Thursday, April 30, according to federal and state disaster officials.
Extended hours of operation:
Monday through Wednesday, April 28, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, April 30, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Hendrum Mobile DRC is staffed by personnel from FEMA and the Small Business Administration (SBA) who can answer questions, provide recovery information and written materials about various assistance programs available to individuals and business owners. Representatives from other disaster assistance agencies will also have personnel at the DRC.
Disaster recovery officials urge individuals and business owners to register for assistance before they come to the DRC in order to avoid delays. A mitigation specialist is also available to discuss available cost-effective ways to reduce future disaster damages.
Those affected by the recent flooding may call FEMA's toll-free number, 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or (TTY) 1-800-462-7585, to register for federal and state disaster assistance for losses resulting from the March 16 and continuing flooding. Both numbers operate from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, until further notice. Multilingual operators are available to assist individuals with limited English proficiency. An application can also be filed online, 24 hours a day, at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
