Hi I'm Steve Crider with FEMA, this is a Red River Valley disaster update.

Disaster Recovery Centers will open at noon, Wednesday, April 15 in Moorhead and Breckenridge.

These centers will assist residents of Red River Valley counties designated for individual assistance.

Disaster Recovery Centers provide an opportunity for residents to meet face-to-face with representatives from state and federal agencies and find answers to questions they may have about the recovery process.

Visitors will find information on:

Residents are urged to register with FEMA before visiting a center by calling 1-800-621-FEMA or by going online to disasterassistance.gov.

The Moorhead recovery center will be at the Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Higher Education Community Center 1110 14th St. South.

April 15th, the hours will be noon to 7 p.m. After that the hours with be 9 to 7 until further notice.

Also, a mobile disaster recovery center will open at the Wilkin County Community Room, 505 S. 8th Street in Breckenridge.

The mobile center will be open noon to 7p.m. April 15… 9 to 7 April 16 through the 18th…and 9 to 4 on the 19th.

After that, the mobile center will move to a new location.
