articles using NHDS or NSAS data Public-Use Data Files (micro-data) We have temporarily taken down the 2006 National Survey of Ambulatory Surgery (NSAS) dataset to correct a problem with double coding of certain procedure codes. Overall procedure counts will be affected, and specific procedure estimates will also change. At this time, we do not expect visit estimates to change, but we are conducting additional review of all data. We hope to have the revised NSAS 2006 data set back up soon. We advise users who have already downloaded the NSAS micro data from our website to re-run any analyses they have conducted on the revised version of the micro data before reporting or publishing any 2006 NSAS data. The National Health Statistics Report #11, titled "Ambulatory Surgery in the United States, 2006", has also been removed from the website until it is revised. Thank you for understanding the need for this delay.
