Research Grants
The Clean Air Research Program funds research grants and graduate fellowships for air pollution research through a competitive solicitation process and independent peer review. The support engages the nation's best scientists and engineers in targeted research that complements EPA's research programs. The grants and fellowship programs are managed by the National Center for Environmental Research (NCER) in EPA's Office of Research and Development.
Grant programs include:
- Grants that support university-based PM Research Centers
- Science to Achieve Results or STAR grants for research and graduate fellowships
- Grants that support the development of innovative environmental technologies and products through NCER's Small Business Innovation Research program (SBIR)
Air pollution research grants and fellowships are listed by EPA's 10 regions. Select one or more type of grant or fellowship and then click on a region.
