Kobuk-Seward Peninsula Resource Management Plan

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has completed a four-year planning process, culminating in a revised Resource Management Plan (RMP) for northwestern Alaska. The plan, known as the Kobuk-Seward Peninsula Record of Decision and Approved RMP, provides management direction for 11.9 million acres of public land that includes the Seward Peninsula, the Nulato Hills, the DeLong Mountains, and the Squirrel and Kobuk river valleys.

This plan provides management direction for BLM public lands as well as those lands selected by the State of Alaska and Native corporations until conveyance occurs. The purpose of the plan is to establish guidance, objectives, policies, and management actions for public lands administered by the Central Yukon and Anchorage Field Offices within the planning area for the next 15 years.
