Merced River:

UPDATE for April 2009:  Merced River Recreation Area is OPEN

The road leading to the campgrounds has been re-opened and should remain open throughout the spring and summer camping season.

Bull Creek Road remains closed at this time, but work is ongoing to re-open it by mid May 2009

South Yuba River:

UPDATE for April 2009:  South Yuba Recreation Area is OPEN

• Until further notice dredging permits will  NOT be issued this 2009 season due to a mercury study by the BLM on the South Yuba River.  For further information, please contact the BLM Folsom Field Office @ 916-985-4474.
