2007
For National Public Lands Day 2007, the Hollister Field Office teamed up with the Bicycle Equestrian Trail Assistance Group, the Chuck Haugen Conservation Fund, CSU Monterey Bay’s Watershed Institute, the U.S. Army and numerous local volunteers to clean-up Fort Ord. Volunteers helped rebuild trails, worked on erosion control projects, collected native plant seeds and removed invasive weeds. Sixty volunteers turned out for the event, working through the morning and finishing with lunch and entertainment. Dana Laughlin, David Dillion and Robert Spencer were recognized for their continued outstanding volunteer contributions.
