Map

The Phoenix South and Sonoran Desert National Monument plans encompass approximately 1.5 million acres of public land in south-central Arizona.  BLM will be developing two plans, one for the Sonoran Desert National Monument and one for the rest of the public lands in the Phoenix South area (see the map for the location of these lands).  We encourage you to get involved in the planning process which will identify BLM's management actions on the public lands for the next 15-20 years.

We are currently working on completing the Draft RMP and Draft EIS based on your input. We will have them published and ready for public review in 2006. We will update this web page and notify everyone on our mailing list when the documents are ready for review. To see what we've done over the last couple years, please look at the web pages listed to the right.
