EXPLORE your public lands managed by the Cody Field Office! A variety of recreation opportunities await you on over one million acres of public lands in the northern half of the Bighorn Basin.

Camp at Five Springs Falls Campground on the west slope of the Bighorn Mountains and enjoy the spectacular panoramic view and rugged cliffs.

Hike or ride horseback on several trails which access the beautiful and wild Absaroka Mountains west of Cody.

Visit the McCullough Peaks Wilderness Study Area east of Cody and explore the colorful badlands with your camera. View wild horses as they roam the McCullough Peaks Wild Horse Herd Management Area.

Float or fish the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River north of Cody and hunt for deer, elk, antelope, rabbits, upland birds and waterfowl.
