Monthly Nature Walks at Meadowood

Join experienced naturalists with the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia on this series of monthly walks at Meadowood Recreation Area. Enjoy the changing seasons as you view a wide variety of birds, butterflies, amphibians, mammals, and other wildlife that reside in this unique natural area on the Mason Neck peninsula. Watch for spring flowers, summer blooms, and nuts and berries in the fall. The abundant native vegetation provides shelter and food for our resident wildlife as well as migratory birds. You will find plenty to discover while enjoying a variety of natural habitats on these walks. 
 
All walks are on Saturdays, meet at 8:30 a.m. at the BLM office, 10406 Gunston Road, Lorton. Call (703) 339-8009 for information. Dates are listed below:
