Courtroom Etiquette

The Immigration Judge(s) in Portland encourage all those appearing before them to familiarize themselves with the Immigraton Court Practice Manual and to be prepared and ready to go forward with the case on the day of the hearing.

1. All cell phones and pagers must be turned off before entering the courtroom.
2. No recording devices permitted in the courtroom.
3. No food or beverages permitted in the waiting area or courtroom.
4. Gentlemen please remove your hat when entering the courtroom.
5. No reading of newspapers, novels, magazines or other during court sessions.
