Important Changes to registration information

1.) North Bridge: If your unit plans to participate in the North Bridge event, please contact me (Jim Hollister) directly at (978) 318 - 7832 or send me an email.

2.) Smocks: We strongly encourage every soldier to be properly dressed in a coat or jacket. If you are unable to acquire a coat or jacket, you may wear a smock. This is a temporary measure for 2009 only. Starting in 2010, smocks will not be allowed on the field. We did not get the clothing information out soon enough. Please accept our appologies. If you, in following the clothing guidelines, have already acquired a coat or jacket, we heartily thank you for your efforts.

3.) Dog-locks: Dog lock muskets are not really appropriate for the 1775 period. Neither are the manuals written for them. Most older muskets equipped with a dog, were updated
with an internal half-cock mechanism. If you are carrying a dog-lock musket, make sure it is likewise updated with an internal half-cock.

4.) High-lows: There was a question about these shoes. They are acceptable. My appologies for not making this clear in the clothing guidelines.

Did You Know?
Did you know that the first publication of the hymn "Amazing Grace" in North America was at a small publishing house in Winchester, Virginia, that specialized in church music?
