Interning at the Sacramento U.S. Export Assistance Center proved to be an immensely valuable experience. It is because of my great experience interning that I plan to pursue a career with the U.S. Department of Commerce after I graduate. Some of my duties during my six month term included performing market research tailored to each client, personally speaking and meeting with clients and CEO’s of local businesses, representing the U.S. Department of Commerce in an official capacity at networking events, client events and trade shows, maintaining relations with commercial officers in US offices abroad and training and managing new staff.

I strongly recommend this internship to those students who are highly motivated, looking for a good challenge and want to pursue a career in international business in their future. I promise your experience will be invaluable and highly rewarding.
