Data Extracts
PEPS produces a weekly data extract of select school data (created on Thursday evenings and posted to this site each Friday). A "change indicator" is provided within each of the thirteen record types so end users can easily identify changes made within a seven-day period.
The files on this page are in Microsoft (MS) Word or PowerPoint. If you don't have this software, Microsoft makes available free viewers that you can download and use to view these files:

What are my options for using the data extract in different formats?
The data extract is provided in two formats:
Option I - Weekly data extract in a fixed-length, text-file format. This format is used primarily for end users who have a specific program that automatically updates their database. This method is not recommended for beginners!
The following WinZip file is a fixed length, text format. This is a full extract of select school data from PEPS. Please copy the file to your computer before decompressing.

Option II: Step 1 - Microsoft Access "tables" and "forms". Provided for your ease of use is an Access database with a menu-driven system for refreshing the database using the weekly data extract file from Option II Step 2. You must have Access 97 or 2000 to use this database. Please copy the following file to your computer:

Option II: Step 2 - Weekly data extract text files for Microsoft
Access users. This format is the most frequently used and the easiest to work
with. Each of the thirteen record types are provided as separate text files.
The text files are named according to their database table names. The files
follow the file layout documentation for each record type.
