More and more these days,
agricultural scientists travel to far-away countries to gain knowledge that can
benefit us all.
Last time we checked, they
don't really ride spaceships or giant grasshoppers. But some of them ride
elephants!
Scientists with the Agricultural
Research Service often "commute" overseas to get to work. Check out these
examples:
- Nepal and India: elephants,
canoes, rhinos andeek!leeches
- Australia: looking for a few good
bugs
-
France: scientific gateway
to voyages in search of Mother Nature's pest controls
