Welcome to the Pacific and Pacific Southwest Region's website for the Office of Law Enforcement (OLE). We want you to see who we are, what we are all about and how we are helping to protect our nation's flora and fauna for future generations.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to protect wildlife resources.  Through the effective enforcement of Federal laws, we contribute to Fish and Wildlife Service efforts to recover endangered species, conserve migratory birds, preserve wildlife habitat, safeguard fisheries, combat invasive species, and promote international wildlife conservation. We focus on potentially devastating threats to wildlife resources – illegal trade, unlawful commercial exploitation, habitat destruction, and environmental hazards.

Strategic Plan

The OLE Strategic Plan (,pdf file 4.49mb) identifies goals and objectives of the Office of Law Enforcement, and explains how our efforts will contribute to conservation in this country and around the world.  It defines performance indicators that we use to monitor our performance and monitor our success.  It will guide our enforcement efforts throughout the end of the decade.  It will help our officers and those who assist us to serve the American people and protect the living legacy that we treasure.  It will help us use our resources effectively to safeguard the animals and plants entrusted to our stewardship. It will ensure that we can continue to make a difference for wildlife into the future.
