The following tables are available illustrating key aspects of the Department of Education Budget:

  • FY 2010 President's Budget Request for Education (last updated 04/27/2009), in PDF [68KB] and MS Excel [362KB]. This detailed program table shows the amounts requested in FY 2010 for the programs and activities of the Department of Education. It also shows funding provided in FY 2008, FY 2009, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the Recovery Act).

  • Summary of ED Discretionary Funding FY 2008-2010 President's Budget (last updated 04/27/2009) in PDF [8KB] and MS Excel [20KB]. Two tables provide a summary of discretionary funding for Department of Education programs by education level (elementary and secondary, postsecondary, and other programs) for fiscal years 2008, FY 2009, the Recovery Act and the FY 2010 President's Budget. The first table reflects the President's proposal to fund Federal Pell Grants on a mandatory basis, and the second assumes continuation of the pre-2010 policy for Pell Grants.

  • State tables for FY 2008- FY 2010 President's Budget, including allocations for programs funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. SOME RECOVERY ACT ALLOCATIONS AND ALL FY 2009 and FY 2010 ALLOCATIONS ARE PRELIMINARY ESTIMATES BASED ON CURRENTLY AVAILABLE DATA. ALLOCATIONS BASED ON NEW DATA MAY RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT CHANGES FROM THESE PRELIMINARY ESTIMATES.
