SEC Holding Seniors Summit to Help Older Investors

The SEC is holding its third annual Seniors Summit to help older investors learn new ways to protect their assets as they age. The event will not only help educate senior citizen investors and their families about senior fraud and other issues, but also the investment advisers or brokers who serve them.

There will be two sessions.  The first, entitled “Protecting Your Assets as You Age” (agenda) is geared toward senior citizen attendees. It will be broadcast from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  The second session, “What Financial Services Firms and Industry Professionals Need to Know About Serving the Senior Investor” (agenda) will take place from 1:15 to 5:15 p.m.
