Supporting both Windows and Linux-based models and modeling systems, SuperMUSE is an integrated, supercomputing cluster that researchers can use to determine the uncertainty and sensitivity of complex environmental models. SuperMUSE currently has 180 PC client nodes with an equivalent 225 GHz processing speed. For a model with an average run time of 2 minutes, SuperMUSE can currently run over 3 million model simulations per month. When its development is completed, SuperMUSE will serve 384 client PCs with a system capacity of roughly 1000 Ghz.
