    Training and Education

    2/6-7/08 Fort Lewis Safety staff (total of 2) accompanied CSHO on construction inspections. This improved the hazard recognition skills of the Fort Lewis safety when addressing military soldiers exposure to construction related hazards.
    2/26-27/08 Fort Lewis safety staff member in area office reviewing programs and accompanied CSHO’s on longshore inspection. This improved the hazard recognition skills of the Fort Lewis safety when addressing longshoring operations involving military soldiers loading vessels.

    Outreach and Communication

    5/9/08 Fort Lewis Safety Day. Put up booth and answered questions. Promoted emergency response alliance and information on hazards the military may face in their workplaces.

    Promoting the National Dialogue on Workplace Safety and Health

    1/16/08 One day of table top emergency response exercise with senior Fort Lewis civilian and military management team.
