AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING AN ALLIANCE AMONG THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR BOSTON REGIONAL OFFICE AND THE NEW ENGLAND REGIONAL COUNCIL OF CARPENTERS, AFL-CIO UNITED BROTHERHOOD OF CARPENTERS AND JOINERS OF AMERICA PILE DRIVERS Local Union 56 AND MASSACHUSETTS PILE DRIVERS UNION JOINT APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAM |

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), The New England Regional Council of Carpenters, AFL-CIO United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Pile Drivers (Local 56), and Massachusetts Pile Drivers Union Joint Apprenticeship Training Program (Local 56), recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. OSHA and Local 56, hereby form an Alliance to provide Local 56 members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect employees' health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing exposure to electrical, fall, struck-by, and crushed by hazards. OSHA and Local 56 will work together to achieve the following training and education goal:
An implementation team made up of representatives of both organizations will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the participants. In addition, they will meet at least quarterly to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. This agreement will remain in effect for two years and signatories may terminate it for any reason at any time, provided they give 30 days written notice. This agreement may be modified at any time with the concurrence of the signatories. Nothing contained in this document is intended to create or establish in any way whatsoever any third party beneficiary relationship between any individual and the parties. This document is not intended to create liabilities, duties or obligations not otherwise already present before the parties executed this document.
