  1. Alliance Background

    Alliance Overview:

    This Alliance addresses safety and health related hazards in UBC’s retail, manufacturing, and construction entities; including but not limited to, material handling issues resulting in musculoskeletal disorders; Hispanic training; and falls, trips, and slips. In developing this Alliance, OSHA and UBC recognize that OSHA’s State Plan and Consultation Project partners are an integral part of the OSHA national effort. Implementation Team Members.

    Please be advised the company name has changed from United Building Centers (UBC) to "Pro-Build North Region" Please make the appropriate name change and from this date forward this alliance will be named "Pro-Build North Region."

    • Training sessions were conducted, on-site audits were accomplished throughout Region V

      A total of 17 On-Site Audits & Training Sessions in five States in Region V 75 Supervisors and Managers Attending the Training
      1000 Employees affected at the 17 sites

  5. Upcoming Milestones
    • The Implementation Team is scheduled to hold their next meeting in January 2009 to brainstorm and establish the Alliance FFY-09 Goals and begin implementation.
    • Focus in 2009 is achieving additional SHARP worksites.
    • Work closely with the truss manufacturing sites focusing on ergonomic injuries
