The 5th meeting of the I-GOOS Board will take place at IOC/UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, on 9 and 13 June 2009 (2 half-days).
The 9th session of the IOC-WMO-UNEP Intergovernmental Committee for GOOS will be held on 10-12 June 2009 at the same location.
The 6th Session of the CLIVAR/GOOS Ocean Panel (IOP-6) will meet at the Laboratoire de l'Atmosphere et des Cyclones in the Island of La Réunion, France, on 3-5 June 2009.

GOOS is a permanent global system for observations, modelling and analysis of marine and ocean variables to support operational ocean services worldwide. GOOS provides accurate descriptions of the present state of the oceans, including living resources; continuous forecasts of the future conditions of the sea for as far ahead as possible, and the basis for forecasts of climate change.
