Snake River Valley (SRV) Crews:

Returning SRV firefighters (those who have been in the SRV program within the past five years) are typically eligible to bring necessary forms and documentation into the Vale SRV Office and schedule a pack test April through June. Pack test announcements will be made through the local paper each year. To schedule a pack test, returning firefighters should contact the SRV Office in the Spring at (541) 473-6230.

Rookie SRV firefighters begin the employment process at the Ontario Employment Office, 375 SW 2nd Avenue, Ontario, OR 97914, (541) 889-5394. Packets for the current year's employment are typically available the first week in May. The Ontario Employment Office is the ONLY location for new SRV firefighters to receive a packet and submit their application. Please do NOT call the SRV Office directly. Employment packets detail the dates, times, and deadlines for the pack test and provide information on required documentation to accompany applications.
