Help care for the public lands and facilities that are important to you. Team up with BLM and our many partners to act locally. A variety of events, projects, and ongoing programs offer you countless opportunities to lend a hand.

National Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands American's enjoy. In 2006, about 100,000 volunteers built trails and bridges, planted trees and plants, and removed trash and invasive plants.



Free Fishing and Boating Day

Free Fishing Day has become a Northwest tradition every June. Join in the family fun at an event near you!





National Trails Day

American Hiking Society's National Trails Day® (NTD), held the first Saturday of every June, is America's largest celebration of trails and the outdoors. With more than 1000 events hosted by trail and community groups, public agencies, and businesses from coast to coast, there is something for everyone!
