KAREN A. PICA

Ms. Pica joined the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, Office of Management and Budget Office, Executive Office of the President in December 2008. Ms. Pica is responsible for acquisition workforce issues as well as the Section 508 Opening Doors program which requires Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Ms. Pica previously served as the Director of the Federal Acquisition Institute and in positions with the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and the United States Coast Guard.

Ms. Pica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Michigan and a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in National Security from Troy State University. Ms. Pica will graduate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in May 2009 with a doctorate in human development.
