  DIRECTIONS   

Our Mission -- To  ensure  long-term competitiveness of the U.S. tree  fruit  industry in the world  market  by  conducting research to:

  • Maintain exceptional quality of fruit in storage, transit and on the shelf

  • Reduce pre-and postharvest physiological fruit disorders

  • Detect and manage microorganisms affecting production efficiency, and pre- and postharvest losses

  • Identify and systematize tree fruit pathogens affecting import and export of deciduous tree fruit

  • Investigate the molecular bases governing traits of exceptional fruit quality
