Soil, Water, and Air

Soil, water, and air are essential to life on earth.
They are our most fundamental and important natural resources.

Soil

Healthy soils sustain plant communities, keep sediment out of streams, and dust out of the air.

Water

Clean and adequate supplies of water are necessary to promote healthy watersheds, provide fish and wildlife habitat, maintain drinking water sources, and allow safe recreational use of our surface water.

Air

The air resource includes both climate and air quality. Climate is a driving force for all ecologic processes on earth and air quality affects human health and visibility

These links to each vital resource provide information about soil, water and air on BLM-administered lands.
