The following are corrections relating to a Justice Department antitrust press release issued today involving Seminole Fertilizer Corporation (97-250):

--The press release stated that Seminole Fertilizer Corporation was based in Bartow, Florida. The company had a fertilizer production facility in Bartow. However, Seminole was headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, before its assets were sold in May 1993.

--The press release also stated that both Seminole Fertilizer Corporation and Farmland Industries Inc. withdrew from the 1992 auction, leaving Norsk Hydro USA Inc. as the only bidder. While Seminole did withdraw from the auction, Farmland was not a bidder at the auction and therefore did not withdraw from it. However, Norsk was bidding at the auction in its own name for the benefit of a partnership the company has with Farmland.

The Justice Department apologizes for the error.
