E-ALERT: Volume 4, Number 5TASK FORCE FOR FAITH-BASED AND COMMUNITY INITIATIVES GRANT ANNOUNCEMENTS Disability Grant Program The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) has announced the Education, Training, and Enhanced Services to End Violence Against and Abuse of Women with Disabilities Grant Program (Disability Grant Program). The goal of this program is to build the capacity of jurisdictions dealing with the proliferation of violence and sexual assault against individuals with disabilities. Disability Grant Program recipients will provide training, consultation, and information on domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and sexual assault against individuals with disabilities, and enhance direct services to such individuals. Deadlines: Letters of intent to apply should be submitted by December 11, 2006. All Applicants should register online with Grants.gov by December 11, 2006. All applications are due by 8:00 p.m. E.T. on January 19, 2007. Tribal Coalitions Program The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) has announced the Tribal Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program (Tribal Coalitions Program). The purpose of the Tribal Coalitions Program is to build the capacity of survivors, advocates, Indian women's organizations, and victim services providers to form nonprofit, nongovernmental tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions to advance the goal of ending violence against American Indian and Alaska Native women. A portion of the funds provided under the Tribal Coalitions Program has been set aside to provide technical assistance to tribal coalitions. Deadlines: Letters of intent to apply should be submitted by December 21, 2006. All Applicants should register online with Grants.gov by January 11, 2007. All applications are due by 8:00 p.m. EST. on January 25, 2007.
