POWER-GEN Europe, alongside its co-located events Renewable Energy World Europe and POWERGRID Europe is the largest event of its kind, attracting over 12,500 power professional from the international energy sectors. The show provides valuable opportunities to connect with the customers who can help to drive businesses forward.  

The theme for the 2009 conference is 'Meeting the Energy Challenge.' It addresses the most prominent and immediate “energy challenges” for the mainstream power generation sector through:  

• Discussions of the best policy options and business solutions
• Introductions to new technologies and new solutions
• A chance to “shop around” and talk to vendors
• An opportunity to learn from the experiences of experts in the field.  

Delegates, visitors and exhibitors attending POWER-GEN Europe, Renewable Energy World Europe and POWERGRID Europe exhibition and conference have the opportunity to attend a joint keynote session where power-industry and policy leaders will address the energy challenges facing Europe in this and the coming decades, and their views of the role that mainstream and renewable energy will play.  

The joint keynote session will take place on Tuesday 26 May 2009: 09:30 – 11:00 - Konrad-Adenauer-Saal, KoelnMesse Congress Centre and will feature these industry experts and their respective topics. 

For the last 12 years USCS Greece successfully recruited, organized and escorted the Greek Delegation to visit this event. The Greek Energy Delegation is composed of key decision makers from the Greek Government controlled energy related entities, and many Greek energy sector involved private companies’ executives.
