Overview
The Mississippi National River and Recreation Area opened its first visitor center, Mississippi River Visitor Center, on August 9th and 10th of 2003. National Park Rangers and Volunteers will help you explore the entire Mississippi River, the national river section in the Twin Cities, and all 391 units of the National Park Service.

Activities: Attend programs given by National Park Rangers, partnering agencies, and volunteers.

Hours: Sunday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
