Bluejoint Grass (Calamagrostis canadensis)
Description: Bluejoint is one of the most common reed grass in North America. In the north it is an important food for bison.
Grows in meadows, wetlands, lakeshores.
Perennial, 3-5' tall. Leaves are many, 4-10 mm wide, flat. Flowers are in a cluster, 10-20 cm long, narrow and rather dense to loose and relatively open.
