Mississippi River Visitor Center

The Mississippi River Visitor Center is located just off the lobby of the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul. Operated by the National Park Service, and staffed by park rangers, the center is free and open to the public. Cancellation station is located at the front desk of the visitor center.

Mill City Museum

Located in the historic Minneapolis Riverfront District, the Mill City Museum is housed in one of the original flour mills build along the shores of the Mississippi River. The museum offers programs and exhibits that offer a peak into how the milling industry impacted Minneapolis and the nation. The passport stamping station is located at the main ticket counter in the lobby.

West Coon Rapids Dam, in Brooklyn Park, provides visitors with hands-on educational programs, extensive trails and walkways for year-round recreation and quiet places to bird watch. The passport stamping is available at the front desk of the visitor center. Make sure to call for hours operation.

Fort Snelling State Park

Located at the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi River, Fort Snelling State Park provides 18 miles of cross-country skiing and hiking trails, five miles of biking trails and many educational programs and exhibits. There is a daily entrance fee of $7 or an annual pass for $25. The passport stamping station is located at the front desk.

The Carl W. Kroening Interpretive Center, located at North Mississippi River Regional Park, is a green building located between I-94 and the west bank of the Mississippi River. Exhibits are focused on the Mississippi River, the surrounding community and how each plays a role in the development of North Minneapolis. Passport stamping is located at the front entrance of the Carl W. Kroening Interpretive Center.
