The Research, Education, and Economics (REE) Child Care Tuition Assistance Program (CCTAP) is an exciting new program to help eligible REE employees better balance their work responsibilities and family obligations. The CCTAP provides subsidies for child care services from a licensed or accredited child care center. Child care services can be provided in home- or center-based child care centers covering full-time day care, and both before and after care. The CCTAP is designed to encourage families to use licensed or accredited child care centers by offsetting some of the high cost of these services.
The eligibility criteria, the formula for determining the amount of subsidy an employee may qualify for, information on how to apply for this program and other guidance is provided in Bulletin 04-403, REE Child Care Tuition Assistance Program.
For additional information or questions, please contact Tonya Morris, REE Work/Life Program Manager via e-mail at tmorris@ars.usda.gov or by phone at (301) 504-1489.
As we continue our efforts to make REE an employer of choice, we are happy to add the CCTAP to our inventory of recruitment and retention tools and family-friendly programs.
