About the Office: The Public Integrity Section oversees the federal effort to combat corruption through the prosecution of elected and appointed public officials at all levels of government. Section attorneys investigate and prosecute cases against federal, state, and local officials, and provide advice and training to investigators and other prosecutors. The Section also has substantial responsibility for the investigation and prosecution of election crimes, campaign financing violations, and conflict of interest crimes. The Section prosecutes cases referred to it as a result of recusals by United States Attorneys’ Offices, referrals from the investigative agencies, and requests for assistance from United States Attorneys.

Responsibilities and Opportunity Offered: The Section is seeking an experienced prosecutor to fill a trial attorney position. The position involves substantial responsibility for handling complex public corruption investigations and prosecutions.

Qualifications: Required qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be duly licensed and authorized to practice as an attorney under the laws of State, territory, or the District of Columbia and have at least three years of post-J.D. legal experience. Applicants should have an interest in national security matters and possess excellent writing skills. Litigation experience is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications: The applicant must have an extremely strong academic background, outstanding writing and advocacy skills, and substantial federal prosecutorial experience, preferably in handling complex white collar crime matters.

Travel: Requires substantial travel on a regular basis.

Salary Information: Current salary and years of experience determine the appropriate salary level,
(GS-13) $86,927-$113,007 per annum
(GS-14) $102,721-$133,543 per annum
(GS-15) $120,830-$153,200 per annum
