U.S. Department of Labor's OSHA, state of Illinois and Sauk Valley Community College to present OSHA Safety Day in Dixon, Ill.

DIXON, Ill. -- Job safety training is the focus of an "OSHA Safety Day" conference to be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m. CDT on March 11 at Sauk Valley Community College on Route 2 in Dixon.

The forum is being co-sponsored by the North Aurora Area Office of the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Sauk Valley Community College and the On-site Consultation Program of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

"This conference is a great opportunity to help businesses prevent job injuries and protect their workers," said Michael G. Connors, OSHA's regional administrator in Chicago, Ill.

Employees and managers are encouraged to attend the half-day conference covering issues for warehousing, machine safeguarding, safety and electrical programs.
