The US Dept of Veterans Affairs is currently operating under Information Letter 049-07-08 issued on June 19, 2007.

The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization assists small businesses marketing to VA. The first step for businesses in the Washington, DC area is to attend a Vendor Counseling session. Sessions are held on the third Wednesday of each month at the OSDBU offices at 801 I St., N.W., Washington, DC in room 1208. You can register online. Other businesses may call OSDBU’s toll-free helpline, 1.800.949.8387 for assistance.

  • The Vendor Information Pages Database is the only Federally controlled database in which a legal verification process is used to determine service disabled or veteran status of a small business. All companies participating in the Veterans First program under PL 109-461 are required to submit evidence of ownership / control and veteran status before being awarded a VA contract under the set-aside authority.
