          Statistics of Communications Common Carriers
60th Anniversary Edition Now Available from the U.S. Government Printing Office
                                     
     Washington, DC   Each year since 1939, the FCC has published Statistics of
Communications Common Carriers.  This publication includes a wealth of data on
telecommunications costs, revenues, prices, and usage.  The 60th anniversary edition is now
available from the U.S. Government Printing Office. 

     The 260-page volume is divided into the following five sections:  

  q  Part 1 contains general information on industry structure. 
  q  Part 2 contains financial and operating data relating to telephone carriers. 
  q  Part 3 contains data on international communications and Comsat.
  q  Part 4 contains historical financial, economic and pricing information. 
  q  Part 5 contains data on industry trends. 

     The publication sells for $24.00 (stock number 004-000-00509-1) and may be purchased
