House Small Business Committee Adopts Oversight
Plan
and Rules for 111th Congress
WASHINGTON – Today, the House Small Business Committee convened to organize, adopting its rules and oversight plan for the 111th Congress. The measures continue the committee’s focus on creating an open process for Members on the committee, which previously resulted in a record number of bills being introduced and passed by both majority and minority members in the 110th Congress.
“The unparalleled progress this Committee made during the previous two years is a testament to the fact that our bipartisan approach worked well to address the needs of small businesses,” Chairwoman Nydia M. Velázquez (D-N.Y.) said. “I intend to continue to lead the Committee in a fashion that is open, fair, effective and bipartisan.”
