An Eclectic List of Events in U.S. Labor History

This site is a compilation of significant labor events in history. It begins with the 1806 conviction of the union of Philadelphia Journeymen Cordwainers for criminal conspiracy after a strike for higher wages and ends with the September 1989 occupation of the Pittston Coal Company's Moss 3 preparation plant in Carbo, Virginia, beginning a year-long strike against Pittston Coal.
