Martindale.com (http://www.martindale.com/xp/Martindale/home.xml) provides a network of legal contacts and other resources. You can search each collection by entering specific information in the given fields such as name, city, state, service roles, expert area or service type depending on the database you select. The following is a brief description of the main collections:

  • Lawyer Locator provides a way to find lawyers by the individual, law firm or area of practice. You can also search for lawyers in corporations, government or academia.

  • Legal Articles provides access to legal publications written by attorneys. Keyword searching is available. You can also limit by practice area and/or industry. Advanced searching is available to give you more options such as author, firm name, jurisdiction or publication date. Registration is required (free) to access the full-text articles.

  • Dispute Resolution Directory provides a searchable database to basic information about professionals such as arbitrators, mediators and facilitators who specialize in dispute resolution. The level of detail varies for each entry.

  • Experts and Services contains more than 4,000 experts/services in areas such as court reporters, expert witnesses, process servers, consultants and investigators. Information about services, staff, credentials and links to websites are included.

  • Professional Resources provides lists of associations with contact information and website links when available; a meetings and conferences calendar with links to upcoming events; and online resources for Continuing Legal Education (CLE).
