The website of the U.S. Law Library of Congress (LLOC) provides information about and links to various domestic and international legal research sources, as well as information about the Law Library and its collection.

  • Global Legal Information Network (GLIN) is a database of laws, regulations, judicial decisions, and other complementary legal sources contributed by governmental agencies and international organizations. To see a list of the countries and institutions that have granted permission to provide access to the texts of their laws/legal materials through GLIN, click on Full Text Availability. Simple as well as more advanced searches of the database can be conducted. Search categories include: Laws, Judicial Decisions, Legislative Records, and Legal Literature.

  • Law Library Reading Room, accessible under the heading “Research Services” on LLOC’s main page, provides several Research Links, including:

  • Bibliographies and Guides, which links to additional resources on such topics as Compilations - Selected Compilations and Other Congressional Committee Prints, selected full-text Congressional Flood Hearings between 1986 and 1997 in PDF format, as well as Research Guides, including an Administrative Law Guide, Bookmarks: Legal Resources on the Internet, and Federal Legislative History, Federal Statutes, and Records and Briefs of the US Supreme Court.
