- MrSID Image Compression Software.
This is a commercial site for a new image compression software. There is compression
software, viewer software, and image server software. Images compressed in
this way can be viewed in ArcView using an extension. USGS is starting to
make use of this compression software to serve DOQQ images. Much of the viewer
and server software is free: there is a charge for the compression software.
- Corpscon
5.x Software Corpscon, Version 5.11.08 is a MS-Windows-based
program from the army which allows the user to convert coordinates between
Geographic, State Plane and Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) systems on
the North American Datum of 1927 (NAD 27), the North American Datum of 1983
(NAD 83) and High Accuracy Reference Networks (HARNs) using the National Geodetic
Survey (NGS) program.

- NADCON extension developed by NOAA for datum
shifting Additional information on doing projections in ArcGIS 8.1 will
be coming soon as well. The information here was supplied by Mark Jacobsen,
Region 2.
- Xtools Extension
for ArcView.
This is a free extension for arcView, developed by Mike Delaune of the Oregon
Department of Forestry. There are a number of functions included in the extension,
and there is some documentation available. This was developed for natural
resource professionals, and may be useful to a number of offices.
- National Wetlands
Inventory script - from Bob Kibler, FWS-SRBO in Boise. This script
simplifies NWI data by different attributes. Download and unzip the
file and follow the directions in the joinnwi.txt file.
- ArcView Resource
Page from Tim Loesch, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Right
now this site contains a number of extensions for ArcView. More scripts
and other information is planned.
