Who May Apply: (by categoey) Local Education Agencies (LEAs)

Who May Apply: (specifically) LEAs that enroll a threshold number of eligible Indian children, certain schools funded by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs. Indian tribes, under certain conditions, also may apply.

In order to participate in the Title VII Indian Education Formula Grant program, eligible applicants must have a minimum of 10 Indian students enrolled in the LEA or not less than 25 percent of the total number enrollment. Exceptions - - The enrollment requirement does not apply in Alaska, California or Oklahoma or to LEAs located on, or in proximity to, a reservation.
