Partnership Overview:

This Partnership between OSHA, The International Union of United Auto, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers (UAW), and the Visteon Corporation aimed to reduce injuries and illnesses at participating Visteon locations through the creation of a proactive health and safety culture and a cooperative, non-adversarial relationship optimizing the resources of all parties. Systematic anticipation, identification, evaluation and control of health and safety hazards are objectives designed to continuously reduce worker injury and illness.

Partnership Goals:
Design worker health and safety into facilities, equipment, and processes.

Maintain the facilities, equipment and processes to keep them operating in a healthy and safe manner.

Ensure that health and safety is led by management and owned by everyone.

Ensure that both management and workers promote health and safety in the workplace.

Ensure that both management and workers are responsible and accountable for their actions, relative to health and safety in the workplace, in a fair and consistent manner.

Verify the progress made toward achieving these goals.
Partnership Objectives:

The partners agreed to carry out the Partnership based on mutual respect and trust that leverages the resources of all the parties through the systematic anticipation, identification, evaluation and control of health and safety hazards at participating Visteon locations, thereby continuously reducing worker injury and illnesses.

Partnership Results

This Partnership agreement concluded in 2007 when the United Auto, Aerospace, and Agricultural Implement Workers (UAW)/Ford Motor Company/ACH-LLC renewed its agreement on June 11, 2007 to incorporate this partnership.
